Open Day - Saturday 7 November 2009
[19/03/2010]A college prospectus starring local actors has just been launched.
The actors - who all participate in productions with the Youth Theatre at the New Wolsey in Ipswich - used their thespian skills to good use in Otley College’s new course guide.
Over 10,000 copies have just been printed of a document that also includes Jimmy Doherty (from Jimmy’s Farm) and the first ever winner of BBC TV’s The Apprentice, Tim Campbell.
The prospectus will be available at an Otley College careers information open day that takes place on Saturday 7 November 2009.
The careers information event - that lasts from 9.30am to 2pm - will be offering advice, guidance and tours of the college. Learners can also chat to tutors about the vast array of courses that are currently on offer.
College spokesperson, John Nice, said, ““We are really looking forward to launching the new prospectus at our open day on Saturday 7 November 2009.”
“We are very proud of our new prospectus that is entitled ‘Larger than Life’ in reference to its A3 size and the idea that our courses and the college are, well, larger than life.”
“We decided to approach the New Wolsey and we would like to thank the young actors and the theatre for helping us out.
“Aside from the young actors, a host of our current students and staff also feature in a document that focuses on the great range of courses that we will be offering in 2010/11.”
