The event is designed to give learners of all ages the opportunity to come and have a look around one of the best UK construction centres in the region.
Director of Construction, Paul Williamson, said, “With the current government drive promoting training and “upskilling” now is an ideal time for individuals and businesses as a whole to gain qualifications and undertake training.”
“In terms of construction, we currently teach over 300 students in a range of different skills and our open day will be a chance for people to talk to tutors, take a tour of the college and find out about the courses that are currently available at Otley.”
Construction course options include maintenance operations, bricklaying, heating and ventilation, carpentry, multi-skills, electrical installation, tiling, painting and decorating.
Otley is also one of the only colleges in the region to offer full time plastering and roofing courses.
Since opening in 1970, Otley College has grown rapidly in terms of student numbers and course options. Currently over 5000 students are enrolled on courses.
