Whether you’re looking for an evening class to sample a new subject, learn a new skill or just get out and make new friends on a course you enjoy – we have a vast range of leisure learning courses.

From bee-keeping to welding, cooking to opera, curtain making to golf and ebay to auras – our courses are fun, relaxed and taught by teachers passionate about their subject with heaps of industry-relevant experience.

Courses may be delivered as evening classes over a number of weeks; one-day workshops and courses may be available during working hours, evenings and weekends.

Hen School

This course is held in small groups at the poultry area of the Animal Studies department. The college house rare breed chickens such as Ixworths as well as Transylvanian Naked necks and a quartet of ex-battery hens. You will also be able to handle the hens and ask as many questions as you need. You will receive a folder of information, a certificate as well as packed lunch!
