This course will give you a brief introduction into the ancient art of hunting with and flying Birds of Prey. The course includes: falconry through the ages, the birds we use, carrying a hooded Falcon during a short walk round, feeding and care, equipment and learning to tie the Falconers Knot. We will end the morning with you having the chance to fly a large Hawk to your own fist. All equipment will be supplied. Flying the birds will be dependant on weather conditions. Certificates of Attendance will be awarded on completion of the course. Lunch is not provided.

Welding - An Introduction (8 week)

This is a 8 week practical course for those wanting to learn the basic methods of MIG and MMA (manual metal arc) welding. Students will be shown how to use equipment safely and how to carry out basic welding joints to steel. Steel toe capped shoes and safety overalls must be worn for this course. Course cost reflects maximum of 8 students and includes materials. On satisfactory completion of the course, you will be awarded an Otley College Certificate of Attendance.See details...
