Aim of course

This course is designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of animal care. Self development will be encouraged and students will gain a range of life and educational skills.

What does the course involve?

Students will cover the following units: grooming animals, feeding and watering animals, animal health, personal development, employment skills, Health and Safety. Basic skills are also developed and assessed throughout the programme.

What qualifications do I need?

To study on this two year course you will need no formal qualifications, just an interest in animals. Applicants will be assessed through an informal interview and a Numeracy/Literacy skills check

What can I do after the course?

Following satisfactory completion of the programme, students may progress onto the Level 1 Foundation Animal Care.
