This course will discuss in great length as to what Alpacas are. You will be shown techniques in Alpacas husbandry, feeding, paddocks fencing and shelter. Guidance will be given on how to handle Alpacas and do routine checks such a toe nail trimming, shearing (discussed techniques used) and vaccinations. Breeding alpacas, mating and birth will also be covered on this course. This one day course is suitable for all abilities. This course will take place at the tutor’s property: Abinger, Newbourne Road, Hemley, Woodbridge IP12 4QA. Lunch is not provided.

Welding - An Introduction (8 week)

This is a 8 week practical course for those wanting to learn the basic methods of MIG and MMA (manual metal arc) welding. Students will be shown how to use equipment safely and how to carry out basic welding joints to steel. Steel toe capped shoes and safety overalls must be worn for this course. Course cost reflects maximum of 8 students and includes materials. On satisfactory completion of the course, you will be awarded an Otley College Certificate of Attendance.See details...
