Aim of course

This award provides further underpinning knowledge in electrotechnology and safety, required for anyone planning to take up a career in this industry.

What will the course involve?

The course combines generic electrotechnical knowledge with a range of units in electrical installation such as Application of health & safety; Electrical Principles; Inspection, Testing & Commissioning and Fault Diagnosis & Rectification.

Course Content

Practical and theory work is assessed and tested continuously throughout the course. Functional skills in either numeracy, ICT and literacy will be studied as an integral part of the qualification.

What can I do afterwards?

A succesful candidate can look forward to an apprenticeship or employment in electrical installation or study C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing.

What do I need?

Students will need to have achieved the Level 2 Certificate in Electro-technical Technology.
