Aim of course

This course is for those students wishing to embark upon a career in the electrotechnical industry.

What will the course involve?

Areas of study include electrotechnical knowledge, electrical installation, workshop skills, project work and health & safety. You will be assessed throughout the course on practical tasks and will be required to complete assignment work.

Course Content

Assessment and testing continues throughout the course on both practical and theory work. Functional skills in numeracy, ICT and literacy will be studied as an integral part of the qualification.

What can I do afterwards?

This course could lead on to an apprenticeship or employment in electrical installation or progression to Level 3.

What do I need?

You will need three GCSEs at grade C or above including maths and science. You will also need good numeracy and literacy skills along with an interest in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
