Floor & Wall Tiling Diploma (Part-time)

Aim of course

The aim of this course is to provide a detailed experience of floor and wall tiling to anyone wishing to progress into employment in the industry or for those already employed in tiling who wish to gain a recognised qualification.

What does the course involve?

The course contains a mixture of theory and practical activity. There is also an end of course phase test to test knowledge gained over the course.

You will be asked to carry out a skills assessment as part of the selection process.

Course contents

Areas covered include:

- Storing materials and equipment

- Working efficiently

- Setting out for tiling

- Preparing Backgrounds for Tiling

- Positioning and Fixing Tiles

- Repairing Tiling

What qualifications do I need?

This course requires a Level 1 Diploma or 2 GCSEs at grade D or above, or equivalent.

What can I do after the course?

On completion of this course, if employed in the industry, you could be assessed for NVQ 2 as long as your employment covers all the required units of the NVQ.
