Aim of course
This course is designed as an introduction to the practical skills and knowledge needed for plastering.
What will the course involve?
The course will be assessed with a mix of practical and theory assessment throughout the course culminating in an online exam to test knowledge. Candidates will also study three Functional Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and ICT). The Functional Skills will be studied as an integral part of the Diploma qualification.Course Content
Areas of study will include: solid plastering ie rendering, skimming, screeding and decorative plasterwork. Attendance at college will be four days a week.
What can I do afterwards?
Students can look to progress onto a Level 2 course or seek a career in industry.What do I need?
Numeracy and literacy skills at Level 1 would be an advantage and an interest in construction is essential.You will be asked to carry out a skills assessment to determine the support you require to be successful on your course.
